Starting a New Chapter in San Francisco
Please join us in congratulating Unversity of Waterloo Spring 22 graduate Simone Percy as a new data scientist on our growing team. Simone demonstrated her dedication and skill as an Omnium intern in Summer 2020 when she focused on predicting the impact of price changes, work that we continue to build on as clients deal with inflation and increasing labor and supply costs.
As part of her Bachelor's of Mathematics, Combinatorics & Optimization degree, Simone completed six coop terms including her internship with Omnium. The reason she decided to come back is that “at Omnium, you get to do the math AND present the findings.” Having a team that can synthesize data, draw meaningful conclusions, and find a way to apply those learnings at retail is a huge part of why brands choose to work with Omnium, and Simone will be part of every one of those steps.
Simone will be working on Oatly and has already started digging into the results of a recent price increase. She’ll also be comparing demand for their products vs. new plant-based milk competitors. While she’s already familiar with the open, collaborative culture at Omnium, Simone’s internship was virtual, so she is excited about exploring a new city,
We hope you’ll join us in welcoming her in person to San Francisco!
