We’re a team of mathematicians, data scientists and business professionals changing the way the consumer packaged goods industry manages revenue growth. Our cutting-edge techniques, industry experience & culture of trust allows us to measurably impact our clients’ businesses.
If you’re an analytical and passionate team player looking to use your mathematical skills to solve tough business problems and continuously learn and innovate in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, Omnium can be the place to launch a meaningful career.
When choosing an internship, we believe the most important factor to consider is where you will learn the most. The more you learn now, the more choices you will have when choosing an industry, role, or location in the future. Omnium is made up of the brightest STEM talent paired with seasoned industry experts operating in the center of the fast paced consumer goods industry, offering ongoing opportunities for analytics innovation. Curiosity is nurtured in an environment where questions are encouraged and can be answered by anyone in the company including our president and partners. We all continuously learn from each other.
As an intern you participate in structured training in consumer packaged goods (CPG) fundamentals and data science practices. Interns then use those skills to address real client business problems and opportunities. As your understanding, ability and confidence grows, your direct client interaction (including executive level) increases. Previous Omnium interns have led analytical efforts for important initiatives including:
Sales strategy for a household name brand
A large pricing decision for a nine figure brand
Packaging change effects for a multi-million dollar brand
Omnium interns are considered full members of our team from day one. In the spring of 2020, when many intern programs were cut back or outright canceled, we doubled down, developing a fully remote internship program where all participants were still able to engage in meaningful interactions with our clients. We also carved out time for our entire staff to participate in virtual game nights, happy hours, and fitness challenges for charitable donations to encourage team bonding. From the top down, we believe in growing ourselves personally and professionally, which means maintaining a sustainable pace of high performance and healthy work life balance.
DATA ANALYST - 4 MONTH INTERNSHIP
Omnium hires 4-6 STEM major undergraduates, recent graduates or graduate students for terms beginning in January, May and September. Several interns have joined Omnium full time. Others have landed competitive entry level roles at companies including Apple, Boston Consulting Group, Facebook and Shopify.

“Throughout my internship I was continually given opportunities that would provide a direct impact on our clients. It was amazing to see that the work I was doing provide so much value. I was encouraged to take responsibility and bring forth new ideas, while being well-supported with resources to help me succeed in the workplace and make San Francisco (a new city and country for me) feel like home.”
- Sarah Martens, University of Waterloo, B. of Math, Statistics
“I was expecting to be helping someone complete their task by doing the grunt work. But instead I created my own work and made decisions on projects that I cared about. The work is hard but you'll always feel proud of what you accomplished and know it's actually being used to make major decisions. The people are the best one could hope to work with and you’ll always be learning something.”
- Henry Grace, University of Waterloo, BS, Physics
“Apart from expanding my technical skills, my time at Omnium was an opportunity to apply hypothesis-driven analysis to complex, open ended problems. The term-long research project, combined with the insight and guidance of the Omnium team, helped me understand how to take a problem and break it up into smaller, concrete pieces that can be analyzed individually – a methodology that has served me well in research and employment alike.”
- Glen Chalatov, University of Waterloo, M. Math, Statistics
