New Beginnings: Introducing Our San Francisco Summer Interns & Mentor
Omnium is delighted to announce the arrival of our summer interns, a talented group poised to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to our projects.
San Francisco Intern Mentor
Arvind Nagabhirava recently graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BCS in Data Science and is set to pursue an MS in Data Science at Columbia University. Inspired by his high school data management and calculus teachers, Mr. Heathfield and Ms. Price, he developed a passion for statistics and probability. He initially interned with Omnium in Fall 2023, after hearing positive feedback from a friend, Diana Constantinescu, who now works at Omnium full-time. During this internship, Arvind aims to assist new interns, collaborate with clients, and embrace learning opportunities. This summer Arvind will be mentoring our three new interns in the San Francisco office: Anuradha, Christine, and Trey. Outside of work, Arvind enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and visiting libraries.
New Interns
Anuradha Ramachandran just graduated from the University of Washington with a major in Statistics and is excited to develop her professional skillset this summer while learning about Omnium clients and their operations. In her first week as an intern Anuradha and her cohort have been diving into business terminology and mastering how to read an income statement with help from one of our founders Colin Davidson. She is particularly interested in analytics and understanding general customer behaviors, and she looks forward to applying her knowledge in meaningful ways during her internship.
Christine Xu, a recent graduate of the University of California San Diego, is thrilled to join Omnium and leverage the extensive intern support that attracted her to the role. She was particularly impressed during her interview with Sr. Data Science Manager Keegan Morrisey, noting how every intern is treated like a full-time employee. Despite initial nerves about her first in-person internship, Christine is eager to dive into the training materials and is looking forward to upcoming pricing promotion trainings. This fall, she will be starting a Master's in Machine Learning at Northwestern University.
Trey Scheid, currently in his final year at the same UC San Diego Data Science program Christine just graduated from, brings a wealth of experience in working with manufacturer data and other information from online databases. With previous internship experience analyzing production costs for a food manufacturer, Trey is excited to work alongside Omnium full-time employees and practice creating self-contained presentations that make complex data digestible for clients.
