Celebrating Future Leaders: Welcome to Toronto Summer Interns & Mentor
Omnium is delighted to announce the arrival of our summer interns, a talented group poised to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to our projects.
Toronto Intern Mentor
Trevor Tidy is a returning intern who will be serving as a mentor for our two new Toronto interns. In his last term at Omnium during Summer 2023 Trevor worked closely with Mylissa Tom, a third-year intern with a wealth of knowledge, and is eager to recreate that supportive environment for Evan and Gillian this year. Trevor hopes to be a reliable mentor that our new hires feel comfortable approaching with any questions. His goal is to impart the valuable insights he has gathered over the years, helping them maximize their learning experience. Evan has already started benefiting from Trevor's expertise, learning essential hotkeys that enhance his efficiency and workflow.
New Interns
Evan Haithcock, originally from Charleston, SC, holds a Bachelor's in Pure Math from Clemson University and a Master's in Combinatorics and Optimization from the University of Waterloo. Evan brings a robust analytical background to the Omnium team. His passion for mathematics, inspired by his high school calculus teacher, has driven him to deeply explore theoretical concepts. At Omnium, Evan is excited to apply his academic knowledge to real-world data analysis and statistics, contributing fresh perspectives to our projects. Outside of his professional pursuits, Evan enjoys rock climbing and baking, making him a well-rounded and vibrant addition to our internship program.
Gillian Seetal, a second-year mathematics major at Queens University, joins our Toronto intern team with a unique blend of academic dedication and personal passion. Hailing from Etobicoke, she shares her love of math with her supportive family. Inspired by her grandfather's love for mathematics, Gillian is excited to explore real-world applications at Omnium. Outside of her academic pursuits, she enjoys lifting weights, indulging in board games like Scrabble, and relaxing with K-dramas.
