Welcome Winter 2022 Interns
We are pleased to welcome four new interns to our San Francisco and Toronto offices, our tenth cohort of interns.
This term we have three undergraduate students from University of Waterloo in Toronto with majors including statistics, math, economics, data science and computer science. We also welcome our first intern from Europe who is in the process of completing a master’s in Industrial Engineering and Management at Lund University in Sweden. You can learn more about them on our careers page.
We are very proud of our internship program with six having returned to Omnium for full time data scientist roles after graduation (including Michelle Ko who started this month) and others moving on to competitive entry level roles at Apple, Boston Consulting Group, Facebook and Shopify.
Interns at Omnium get hands-on experience helping clients make important data-driven decisions. In addition to our day to day work, Omnium interns take on a special project of their choosing such as creating algorithms to help us program baselines (an otherwise arduous task), continuously improving out of stock models, or diving into open problems such as product clustering to help better understand SKU rationalization. The projects provide time and space for the interns to learn about something they are interested in while addressing common CPG industry challenges.
STEM undergraduates and recent graduates who are interested in joining our collaborative, continuous-learning culture are encouraged to apply for the four month program which begins every January, May and September.
